Here is a photo of the “Thomas and Friends” baby toys that were recalled yesterday, June 14th. The Consumer Product Safety Commission said that lead paint may have been used on the wooden toys and poses a risk to children under the age of 6. Infants and toddlers especially love to put toys in their mouths, so any parent should take this toy away from their baby immediately and contact RC2 Corporation for a replacement unit.
The Oak Brook, IL based company imported the toys from China and is recalling about 1.5 million units. It’s incidents like these that make parents switch to buying only all natural products and nothing mass produced. Now, it makes sense to buy things like organic baby clothes because who’s to say there’s nothing harmful in the dyes used on mass produced baby clothing. We all know that a lot of infant apparel is made in China, and it’s cheap so many parents buy it.
Newborns are especially susectible to these dangers, so as parents are preparing for baby’s arrival, picking out safe products should be just as important as picking out a baby name.
