Potty training a child is one of life’s biggest challenges when raising a kid, and some parents have taken things a step further than normal by starting potty training at birth. Most parents use diapers, cloth and disposable, until the child is fully potty trained. Training pants and diapers are a helpful tool, as well.
Many toilet training experts are skeptical about this new method that’s catching on, because there are a few problems with it. First of all, childrens’ brains do not connect needed to go and actually going to a toilet until about 3 years of age to 5 years. These babies may know that they need to go and are even able to use baby sign language to commicate that need to mom and dad, but the kids are often just taken out to a tree or even a sink. My question is, how can you call it potty training if the potty is not necessarily involved?
If you’re a parent that likes to use the traditional training method, a personalized baby gift that’s great to get and give is a special potty chair for a toddler. If they’re excited about the chair, it’s going to be much easier for them to use it. Some usseful baby shower gifts involve things like diaper cakes for the new parents to use. If you’re really worried about adding diapers to the landfill, try switching to cloth diapers. You reduce the amount of garbage and don’t have to worry about changing so many soiled sheets. It’s also going to be easier getting a daycare or baby sitting service if you’re child used diapers.
